mini kunaffa bites

since ramadan started and i’m in the mood for traditional eastern desserts.
and what can be sweeter than crispy hot kunafa coming out of the oven with sweet drops of syrup 🙂 yumm!
i wanted to try a different presentation this time, so i used the cup cake oven dish.
it’s a simple recipe all you need to do is to butter the cup cake pan add a layer of kunaffa noodles, then add two spoons of cream, then top it up with another layer of noodles.
how to prepare the cream? ofcourse i’m going to share it with you 🙂
just mix some cream with 1 spoon of rose water, 1tsp of saffron and another 1tsp of cardimom. mix mix mix smile while your mixing ^_^
this is the recipe but to be honest, i couldn’t resist adding 1 spoon of muhalbiya pudding just to give it that sweet flavour 🙂
anyways once you’re done just pop it into the oven until it turns golden brown.
meanwhile prepare the syrup, by mixing 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water and add rose water, saffron, and cardimom over low heat till it becomes a bit thick, leave it to cool down then put in fridge.
once the kunaffa is ready add the cold syrup over the hot kunafda, sprinkle some powder pistachios on top and enjooooy 🙂
